Job TypePart-time Description Position: GSR Night AuditLocation: Hotel Californian - Santa Barbara, CA Schedule: Part-time | Overnight shifts Position SummaryThe Night Auditor is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service during overnight hours and for performing end-of-day accounting and reporting functions. This role combines front desk responsibilities with basic financial auditing, ensuring a smooth transition between business days and maintaining Hotel Californian's high service standards. Key ResponsibilitiesGreet, assist, and check in/check out guests in a professional and welcoming manner Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously Perform nightly audit procedures, including reconciling daily transactions and balancing accounts Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports Process payments, post charges, and ensure accuracy of guest folios Monitor hotel security and ensure guest safety during overnight hours Answer phone calls, route messages, and respond to emergencies as needed Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area Communicate effectively with morning staff to ensure a seamless shift transition QualificationsPrevious hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred Strong attention to detail and basic accounting or cash-handling skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight shifts Proficiency with hotel PMS systems Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor Physical & Schedule RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Salary Description$20.00/hour plus shift differential
