Location:Geisinger Healthplex WoodbineShift:Nights (United States of America)Scheduled Weekly Hours:36Worker Type:RegularExemption Status:NoJob Summary:Performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general oversight of a Lead Polysomnographic Technologist and the clinical director or designee. A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, RPSGT can provide supervision of a Certified Polysomnographic Technologist, CPSGT.This role receives up to a $7,500 joining bonus for qualified candidates.Job Duties:Gathers and Analyzes Patient Information Testing Preparation Procedures: Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments, if necessary.Polysomnographic Procedures: Follows procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data.Polysomnographic Record Scoring: Scores sleep and wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines.Complies with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.Performs routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation.Participates in all Joint Commission mandated educational programs including, but not limited to, Infection control, Fire, Electrical and Hazard Safety programs annually.Maintains confidentiality of patient and program information.Responds to study participant's procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate information.Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
