FP&A Analyst – Manufacturing / Data & Systems FocusA growing, private equity-backed manufacturing platform is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join its lean and highly visible finance team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, operations, systems, and data analytics.This is not a traditional reporting-focused FP&A role. The team is looking for someone hands-on and analytical who can work through ambiguity, improve processes, and help transform ERP data into actionable business insights.The organization operates in a fast-paced acquisition-driven environment and is looking for someone eager to make an impact beyond maintaining spreadsheets and recurring reports.What You’ll Be Doing:Financial Planning & AnalysisSupport budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial analysisAssist with performance reporting and profitability analysisDevelop insights to support strategic and operational decision-makingERP Data & ReportingExtract, manipulate, and analyze ERP system dataBuild and improve reporting related to:MarginsProduct profitabilityCustomer profitabilityOperational performanceClean and structure underutilized or messy datasets into meaningful reporting toolsCost Accounting & Operational AnalysisSupport product costing and variance analysisAnalyze inventory activity and COGS trendsHelp identify operational efficiencies and cost savings opportunitiesImprove and enhance cost models and reporting processesCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with operations, purchasing, and production teamsSupport pricing analysis, capital investment decisions, and process improvement initiativesWhat They’re Looking For:2–3 years of experience in FP&A, Financial Analysis, Business Analysis, or related finance rolesStrong Excel and analytical skillsExperience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)Ability to extract, organize, and interpret large datasetsComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environmentPreferred Background:Manufacturing industry exposureCost accounting experienceExperience building or improving reporting from imperfect or incomplete dataSQL exposure or technical systems/reporting experience is a plusIdeal Personality Fit:Naturally curious and analyticalStrong problem-solver who enjoys digging into dataComfortable navigating ambiguity and building processes from scratchMore systems/data-oriented than purely accounting-focusedWhy This Opportunity?High visibility within finance leadershipOpportunity to help drive meaningful operational and reporting improvementsExposure to M&A and a growing PE-backed organizationAbility to make a measurable impact early in your career
