Concrete Finisher

Qualified candidate should have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Finisher Helper.Duties/ResponsibilitiesResponsible on smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools. Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints.Placing and finishing of horizontal concrete.Vibration/strike-off/floating and finishing of concrete using a walk-behind trowel or a riding trowel. Some broom finish.Curing of concrete using curing compounds or wet curing methods.Use of highway straightedge, straightedge, jointers and edgers.Removing edges on expansion joints and sides.Signaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms.Pour, level, and smooth concrete on a variety of surfaces including roads, sidewalks, curbs, and floors. Required Skills/Abilities Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and foremen. Ability to stand for long periods.Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.Ability to kneel for long periods.Knowledge of hand-held and power tools including power vibrators, polishers, cutting saws, and edging tools.Education And ExperienceMinimum of 2 years experience as a Finisher Helper.
