Job Title: PhlebotomistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist who is proficient in blood collection techniques, including venipuncture and capillary methods, for patients of all age groups. This role requires expertise in pediatric blood collections and handling challenging draws, especially in medical office buildings. The candidate must have a solid understanding of compliance and safety protocols and be capable of effectively communicating these principles to other team members. Additionally, the ability to provide orientation and training to patient service technicians is essential.ResponsibilitiesPerform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques.Handle pediatric blood collections and difficult draws.Communicate compliance and safety protocols to employees.Provide orientation and training for patient service technicians.Work under the supervision of the lab supervisor and team lead.Travel to various Medical Office Building labs throughout South OC.Essential SkillsPhlebotomy expertise with a CPT 1 License.Experience with lab systems, such as Cerner.Excellent customer service skills.At least six months of experience in an acute or sub-acute setting.Experience with neonatal and pediatric draws.Ability to draw 45-55 patients within an 8-hour shift in an outpatient setting.Ability to draw 20-30 patients within an 8-hour shift in an inpatient setting.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma.Computer proficiency.Hospital experience is a plus.Excellent attendance and behavior record.Flexibility in shifts and hours.Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves high-volume phlebotomy tasks within various Medical Office Buildings and eventually transitioning to a main lab in a hospital setting. The candidate will work in a dynamic setting, visiting draw stations located at multiple locations including Aliso Viejo, Irvine, Foothill Ranch, Huntington Beach, Santa Ana, and more. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a renowned healthcare system focused on patient care.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
