Position Summary:
The Receiving Associate is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments. This role ensures inventory is handled correctly, stored safely, and recorded properly to support smooth warehouse or store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments and verify items against purchase orders and delivery documents
Inspect products for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly
Accurately record received inventory in the system
Label, tag, and organize merchandise for storage or distribution
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (if certified)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area
Follow company procedures and safety guidelines at all times
Communicate effectively with supervisors, inventory teams, and vendors as needed
Assist with inventory counts and audits
Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
Load and unload trucks safely using pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols
Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with order specifications
Stock shelves efficiently by organizing products in designated warehouse areas for easy retrieval
Utilize warehouse distribution techniques to optimize space and streamline inventory flow
Maintain detailed records of inbound and outbound shipments through AS400 or similar systems
Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment to support accurate MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
Experience
Prior warehouse experience with shipping & receiving operations preferred
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 is highly advantageous
Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or pallet jacks required; certification preferred
Knowledge of order picking & packing procedures within an e-commerce or distribution environment
Basic math skills necessary for inventory calculations and documentation accuracy
Demonstrated ability to work safely with equipment such as load & unload tools and order pickers
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order fulfillment processesPosition Summary:

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
