Job description:About the Team: The Plant Quality Engineer will be an active participation in major problem-solving projects and teams. They will create and improve data management systems to minimize risk and identify potential projects and problem areas. while being an active support on the creation and preparation of training material and other documents, and will provide proactive assistance on potential critical projects or customer complaints. What you can look forward to as a Plant Quality Engineer: Monitor manufacturing processes and assess product quality to determine adequacy, capability, and ability to comply with customer specifications and company’s specifications. Develop and maintain documents and procedures related to quality standards, risk analysis, lessons learned from product recalls, product audits, field returns and repairs, complaints, scrap, and rework, and retain documented information as evidence. Interpret prints and measurement tools (GD&T) and provide guidance to manufacturing personnel in the proper application of quality systems and tools. Utilize basic quality tools along with problem solving and lean manufacturing techniques in the support of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions promoting lessons learned process. Perform activities in coordination with other departments, effectively respond and communicate in a timely manner, ceveloping and maintaining productive working relationship while offering support in cross-functional working groups.  Initiate, complete, and ensure proper conformity of engineering changes to quality standards. Trigger additional escalation levels as needed to protect internal and external customer. Active work in problem solving in cooperation with all Quality Engineers Working on top projects, project details, and finalization of projects in cooperation with a defined team. Creation and development of methodologies and templates for problem solving based on each specific customer request and requirement. Support and works independently to create, implement, document, and maintain permanent corrective actions for internal and external 8Ds. Monitor, analyze, and improve KPIs for APS2 and its impact to main ZFTG KPI, creation of pareto charts Support projects for avoiding and preventing failure occurrence in the early stage of projects and support Customer and Supplier Quality Engineers in direct discussion with supplier or customer Active work and creation of MSA analysis, and monitoring of improvements as defined by Management. Initiate, monitor, and review corrective actions involving defective material from customer concerns. Work actively on development and management of test and inspection systems as required for each individual problem-solving project as well as creation and analysis of data. Creation and maintenance of essons learned folder as well as reports and presentations. Work on other duties and special projects as it relates to the position.  Your profile as a Plant Quality Engineer:  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering 3+ years of experience (internship/co-op included) Proven ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Proven creativity and analytical methods with a high-level of attention to detail Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Advanced knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within engineering Working knowledge of product line(s) and engineering design principles and experience with engineering change systems  Why you should choose ZF in Gray Court, SC:  A supportive collaborative team environment Annual Incentive Plan Paid Vacation 401k Plan Health Care Benefits Paid Holidays A strong diversity culture Supportive Employee Groups and community outreach activities
