The facility is ideally situated near key mining, agricultural, manufacturing, and distribution hubs, as well as rapidly growing population centers throughout Northern Nevada.Western Nevada Transload is proud to be part of the Industrial Realty Group family of companies, a nationally recognized owner and operator of industrial real estate.To learn more, visit:https://www.westernnevadatransload.com/https://www.industrialrealtygroup.com/Job Overview:Western Nevada Transload is seeking a highly organized and assertive Gate Clerk to manage truck traffic and gate operations at our busy rail transload facility in Fernley, NV.This position serves as the first point of contact for drivers and plays a critical role in maintaining safe, efficient, and accurate yard operations.Key Responsibilities:Verify driver paperwork for inbound and outbound trucksConfirm booking information for export containersVerify required paperwork prior to yard entryAssign dock/lane locations and manage truck flow during busy periodsTrack and enter gate events in real-timeMaintain accurate railcar inventory and log car numbersCoordinate with yard crew and supervisors via radioMaintain accurate gate and inventory logs for compliance and reportingAssist with administrative and office support tasks as neededEscalate operational issues to supervisors when requiredRequired Skills & Qualifications:Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systemsExcel knowledge requiredAbility to learn inventory software and basic EDI systemsHighly organized with strong attention to detailConfident and professional in interacting with driversAble to work in a fast-paced industrial environmentReliable and punctual (early morning start time)Previous experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or similar operations preferredRail or intermodal experience is a plus but not required.Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 5:30 AM - 3:00 PM.Overtime and Weekends as needed.Physical Requirements & Work Environment:Standing for extended periodsFrequent movement in and out of the officeWorking near gate area in varying weather conditionsCompensation & Benefits:Starting rate: $23.00 per hourMedical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, 401(k) with Employer MatchGrowth Opportunities:Room for advancement within the company.Opportunities for additional training.Safety & Compliance:Adherence to OSHA, FRA, and state safety requirements.Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.Western Nevada Transload participates in E- Verify.
