About the OpportunityThis temp-to-hire role supports industrial, food production, and metal manufacturing facilities throughout St. Charles County. Companies are hiring entry-level through advanced multi-craft machine maintenance technicians with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who can thrive in fast-paced production environments. What You'll Do• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, conveyors, motors, and production equipment • Perform electrical work including sensors, motors, drives, relays, limit switches, and controls • Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings • Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems • Perform machine adjustments, changeovers, and part replacements • Use multimeters, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment • Support safe, efficient production operations What You Bring• Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing • Ability to troubleshoot machinery safely and efficiently • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and mechanical systems • Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics • Strong problem-solving and documentation skills • PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus Nice-to-Haves• Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC experience • Knowledge of VFDs, servo systems, or automation • Preventative maintenance program experience • Basic fabrication or welding ability • Experience in food production or metal fabrication environments Why Work with Express Employment Professionals• We partner with 250+ local companies in the St. Louis and St. Charles County area. • We often know about skilled trades openings before they're publicly posted. • We have direct access to hiring managers and decision-makers. • Your application is reviewed by real people who will advocate for your skills and experience. • One application with Express can connect you to multiple local skilled trades roles.
