Dental Assistant
Artistic family dental is looking for a dental assistant to join our dental family . We are located ion Highland IN and need someone who is able to perform the responsibilities listed below
Duties
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments and materials
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as taking impressions of patients' teeth for study models
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records and update patient information in the dental software system (e.g., Dentrix)
- Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar
```Experience```
- Minimum of 2 year of experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes
- Experience with medical imaging techniques (e.g., CAD, Epic)
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Excellent patient assessment skills and ability to provide compassionate care

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Dental Assistant program preferred
- Current certification in Dental Assisting (e.g., Certified Dental Assistant) is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
