Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Wireless Network Architect with an active Top Secret (TS) clearance to lead the design, implementation, and management of complex wireless and wired network infrastructures. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, security protocols, and cloud integration to support mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in computer networking, network security, and IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure communication systems across diverse environments. Responsibilities Design and develop advanced wireless and wired network architectures including LAN, WAN, VPN, and MPLS solutions to meet organizational needs. Lead the deployment and configuration of network devices such as Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Meraki, and other hardware, ensuring optimal performance. Implement and manage network security measures including firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA), Cisco ISE, and IPsec to safeguard sensitive data and infrastructure. Oversee the integration of cloud-based services such as AWS and Azure, including virtualized environments using VMware and other virtualization technologies. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system design, configurations, and procedures following the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise wireless LAN (WLAN) infrastructure. Perform wireless site surveys, RF analysis, and capacity planning. Configure, monitor, and optimize wireless controllers, access points, and associated networking equipment. Troubleshoot complex wireless connectivity, performance, and security issues. Ensure wireless networks adhere to industry best practices and security standards. Collaborate with network, security, and IT teams to integrate wireless solutions with existing infrastructure. Document wireless network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Stay updated with the latest wireless technologies, standards (Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6/6E, Wi-Fi 7), and vendor solutions. Monitor network performance using advanced tools for network management and network monitoring, proactively identifying issues before they impact operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams utilizing Agile methodologies to implement continuous improvements through CI/CD pipelines. Conduct system design reviews, capacity planning, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with security standards such as information security protocols. Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting complex issues related to routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), load balancing, and scripting for automation (Python, Scripting). Stay current with emerging technologies in network infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevOps practices, and industry best practices. Skills Extensive experience with enterprise networking including LAN/WAN design, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VPNs, MPLS, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, TCP, UDP, MPLS. Strong knowledge of network security tools such as Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco ISE for identity services, IPsec VPNs, Palo Alto or Juniper firewalls. Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers/switches, Juniper devices, Meraki solutions; familiarity with SDN concepts. Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS (VPCs, Virtual Private Cloud), Azure; virtualization technologies such as VMware; scripting languages like Python or JavaScript for automation tasks. Deep understanding of network infrastructure components including load balancing solutions, system design principles, APIs integration, UNIX/Linux/Windows operating systems. Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines; experience with network management tools; familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Strong background in computer science fundamentals such as algorithms (routing protocols), system design, data management (SQL, Oracle), and information security standards.
