No AI system independently determines candidate eligibility or makes hiring decisions.All employment decisions are made by human recruiters and hiring managers.Applicants who need a reasonable accommodation during any part of the hiring process may contact our recruiting team for assistance.What is the position :The Maintenance Instructor is responsible to develop and conduct courses as required by this manual and the Maintenance Training Manual.Essential Functions:Develop and deliver training courses to CommutAir employees and contract employeesDevelop and utilize course outlines as standard training objectivesDesign student literature, visual aids and other materials to aid student motivation and retain subject knowledgeRecommend course content changes needed to improve student knowledge or skillsCoordinate course schedules with department heads to comply with initial and recurrent training requirementsAssist the Maintenance Department in identifying new training requirements to improve employee efficiency or improve aircraft reliabilityConduct Contract Maintenance Provider or Essential Maintenance Provider training, including GMM, initial systems, and/or recurrent trainingInitiate and maintain accurate training records and documentation for each courseAct in a supervisory capacity when performing training activities.Perform any maintenance action on which he has been trained, qualified or authorizedReview, maintain, and authorize all training endorsements.Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Manager of Maintenance TrainingRegular attendance is an essential function of all positions at CommuteAir.Other duties as assigned.General requirements & qualifications:Previous aviation classroom training experience (preferred.)Strong knowledge of aircraft and powerplant systems a must.Experience with Microsoft, Adobe and other course development software.A&P license (preferred.)Basic Computer Skills, especially MS Office suite.Organized with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities regularly.Ability to read, speak, and understand the English languageLegally authorized to work in the USAPhysical Requirements:Sedentary Work:Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body, sedentary work involves sitting most of the time and walking /standing occasionally.
