Job Title: Senior DB2 SQL Developer with DBA knowledge

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DB2) with strong expertise in SQL Server and IBM DB2. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in TSQL, Performance Tuning, ETL, ARCHIVING, and Database Lifecycle Management. This role will support BigID onboarding, data governance, retention, archival, and deletion initiatives across enterprise healthcare systems.
What You'll Do:
Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server and IBM DB2 database objects, including tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, scripts, and database code, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Perform database performance tuning and troubleshooting, including query optimization, Explain Plan analysis, locking, deadlock, and concurrency issue resolution.
Design and implement database schemas, data models, and relationships to support business and application requirements.
Develop, support, and maintain ETL, data integration, migration, and data extraction processes across multiple data sources.
Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery standards are consistently maintained.
Collaborate with application development, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into effective database solutions .Participate in the full database lifecycle, including design reviews, code reviews, deployments, upgrades, release management, and technical documentation while promoting database best practices and standards.
Mandatory SkillsStrong hands-on experience in MS SQL Server and DB2 on z OS.Expertise in TSQL, Stored Procedure, Functions, Triggers, Views, Indexes, and Packages.
Database performance tuning, query optimization, locking, deadlock, and concurrency troubleshooting.
Experience with ETL, Data Migration, Data Integration, and HCM Extract.
Knowledge of ARCHIVING, retention, purge, and deletion processes.
Database security, backup/recovery, replication, and Disaster Recovery.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Blob Storage, and related Azure IaaS.Understanding of Data Governance tools such as BigID.Healthcare domain experience preferred.
