Unfortunately, we are unable to consider non-U.S. citizens, including lawful permanent residents (green card holders), for this role.SummaryWe are hiring motivated, entry-level individuals to begin their hands-on technical career as Engineering Operations Technicians (EOTs) through our Elevate Program, a paid training and development pathway. Through Elevate, candidates who may not yet have direct data center or technical experience will receive structured training alongside on-the-job learning in a data center environment. As a member of the Engineering and Facilities team, you will support the operation and maintenance of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure, follow detailed safety and operating procedures, and help maintain world-class facility reliability. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with curiosity for technology, a strong work ethic, and interest in electrical, mechanical, or facilities systems.Highly motivated and eager to join a career in Data Center Engineering Operations, demonstrating positive attitude and strong aptitude to learn and grow.Ability to work 10-hour rotating shifts (4x10s) that sometimes include holidaysAbility to lift and move up to 39 pounds independently on a normal basis. 40+ pounds for group lifts.Able to work and perform construction tasks from ladders.Proficient with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word) and web-based operational tools.Highly proficient in written and spoken English.Step 1: Begin on the Rack Install Team + On-the-Job EOT TrainingAll new hires begin their Elevate journey on the Rack Install Team, where they learn foundational data center skills.Standard schedule (M-F, 8AM-4:30PM) for first day before moving to shift schedule:TPVR onboardingGovCloud/IT access setupConstruction access authorizationInitial safety and compliance trainingSupport rack installations and rack power‑up activities, Assist in rack/stack, build‑out, power‑up, and commissioning of data center equipmentDaily structured learning (2 hours/day) via Amatrol + AWS virtual learning modulesStep 2: Online AssessmentAfter 4–6 months, consultants become eligible for an online readiness assessment for conversion to a full‑time AWS EOT.Those who do not pass may retake it after 3–4 additional months of training and shadowing.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety:Uphold top safety standardsSupport safety initiatives and mitigation planningEngineering & Facility Operations:Gain competence with UPS, switchgears, generators, chillers, CRAC/CRAH. and BMS systemsConduct rounds, log readings, troubleshoot within SLAsData Center Build & Commissioning:Support design, build-out, and commissioning activitiesMaintain accurate asset and inventory trackingShift Details4x10s scheduleDay shifts either Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday6AM-4:30PM or 7AM-5:30PM shiftsShift could include working on holidaysWhat is the Elevate Program?Brooksource’s Elevate Program is designed to accelerate skill-set development for cutting-edge technologies through in-depth, paid technical training, professional development, and cultural enrichment.
