Painter
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing and performing painting activities on company owned aircraft, parts, components, fixtures, tooling, ground support equipment (GSE) and other vehicles.

Essential Responsibilities:
Carry out all necessary tasks for successful professional painting such as prepping, masking, stripping, sanding, etc. depending on the materials working with.
Plan ahead to meet contract(s) and company timelines with very minimal supervision.
Perform routine inventory control functions
Assure safety and housekeeping polices are followed.
Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Occasionally working flexible/shifted hours to adapt to aircraft maintenance schedule.
· Knowledge of painting techniques in conditions sometimes not friendly to paint processes.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job function or as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
· Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and in speaking with customers, co-workers and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
· Understand and practice safety procedures to prevent damage to equipment or injury to personnel.
· Ability to work self-directed in a timely manner.
· Knowledge of paint types and preparation of metals and other materials.
· Ability to operate the paint section within FAA and Company guidelines.
· Operations knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Required Qualifications:
Any combination equivalent to the following would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities needed to qualify.
· High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate.
· Previous industrial painting experience
· Commitment to the mission and vision of Neptune Aviation Services Inc.
Desired Qualifications:
· Fiberglass repair experience
· Certificate/Degree related to painting/contractor experience
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
· Work assignments require moderate to strenuous effort.
· Worker must climb, bend, stoop, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods on concrete or metal surfaces.
· Frequently lifting parts and equipment that weigh up to 25lbs. Occasionally lift and carry items that weigh approximately 50lbs. Heavier weights may be lifted with mechanical lifting devices or assistance from other workers.
· Work is performed in hangar areas, outdoors, and in hazardous noise areas.
· Workers are exposed to extremes in heat, cold, and inclement weather.
· Work in confined spaces and in awkward positions.
· Exposure to dirt, dust, cleaning chemicals, solvents, grease, and aircraft fluids are common in the workplace.
