We work with stakeholders across the agricultural value chain — from farm to retail — helping food companies, processors, and cooperatives navigate Scope 3 decarbonization, regenerative governance, and market development for climate-smart agriculture. Our work spans supply chain program design, carbon accounting, and co-financing strategies that unlock value for producers, buyers, and investors alike.We recently launched BoundDairy, the first carbon accounting platform purpose-built for the dairy sector, giving dairy suppliers the tools to track emissions, differentiate their products, and get ahead of the market shift toward low-carbon dairy. BoundDairy reflects how we work: multi-stakeholder, data-driven, and focused on turning industry challenges into competitive advantages.We're a small, senior team — founded by practitioners with decades of hands-on experience in agriculture, supply chain strategy, and regenerative systems — and we're growing. As our project pipeline and BoundDairy platform scale, we're looking to bring on 2–3 Junior Analysts over the next 6–9 months.The RoleWe're looking for a Junior Analyst to support our supply chain and carbon accounting work across both consulting engagements and the BoundDairy platform. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role well suited to someone early in their career who wants to build real expertise in agricultural sustainability, GHG accounting, and supply chain strategy — working directly with our founders and clients rather than being buried in a large team.This position starts as a full-time contractor on retainer, with the opportunity to transition to a full-time employee role after approximately one year, contingent on performance and business growth.What You'll DoSupport carbon accounting and GHG inventory work, including data collection, quality checks, and analysis for client and BoundDairy engagementsHelp build, test,  and maintain GHG Program optimization and scenario models and reporting tools used in client deliverables and the BoundDairy platformResearch and synthesize information on agricultural supply chains, regenerative practices, dairy and crop production systems, and climate/sustainability marketsDraft sections of client reports, white papers, and stakeholder-facing materialsAssist with due diligence and market analysis for supply chain investment and regenerative market development projectsCoordinate with producers, cooperatives, and industry partners to gather data and track project progressSupport grant and funding research relevant to climate-smart agriculture programsTake on ad hoc analytical projects as our client and platform needs evolveWhat We're Looking ForA bachelor's degree in a relevant field (agriculture, environmental science, sustainability, economics, data science or analysis, or similar) — or equivalent practical experienceStrong analytical and quantitative skills, with hands-on experience in Python and/or R for data analysis, and solid SQL skills for querying and managing structured dataComfort working with APIs to pull, integrate, and automate data feeds from external sources is a plusExposure to cloud data infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehousing concepts – experience with tools like Athena, S3, or similar is a plusWillingness to learn carbon accounting frameworks and methodologies, and apply technical skills to GHG inventory and emissions data workExcellent research and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearlyGenuine interest in agriculture, food systems, and climate/sustainability — prior coursework, internships, or hands-on farm experience is a plus but not requiredSelf-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity; this is a small, fast-moving team where you'll wear multiple hatsStrong communication skills and reliability working in a remote, distributed environmentAvailable full-time and able to work as an independent contractorDetailsPosition type: Full-time contractor (retainer), with a defined path to full-time employee status after ~1 yearLocation: RemoteHiring timeline: We plan to hire 2–3 Junior Analysts over the next 6–9 monthsReporting to: Director of Data & Product/Director of Technical ProgramsTo ApplyPlease send a resume and a note on why this role interests you to benjamin@climatesource.ag
