Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the outpatientmental health setting provides comprehensive clinical and administrativenursing support to ensure safe, coordinated, and effective medicationservices. This role serves as a central liaison between prescribers,clients, pharmacies, insurance providers, and external service agenciesto support continuity of care. The RN supports medication clinicoperations, administers injectable medications, provides individualizedmedication education, conducts phone triage, manages medication-relateddocumentation and prior authorizations, and maintains accurate clinicalrecords. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatmentteam, the RN plays a critical role in care coordination, clientengagement, and the delivery of high-quality outpatient mental healthservices. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a liaison between prescribers,clients, pharmacies, insurance companies, and other service providers tosupport continuity of care. Administer injectable medications inaccordance with provider orders, agency policy, and regulatorystandards. Provide medication education to clients based on theirclinical needs, level of understanding, and treatment plans. Conductphone triage, respond to client medication-related inquiries, andcomplete appropriate follow-up as needed. Assist with the completion,tracking, and follow-up of prior authorizations and othermedication-related documentation. Support medication clinic operations,including preparing documentation, coordinating appointments, andensuring required forms are completed accurately. Monitor and reportmedication side effects, adverse reactions, and client concerns toprescribers in a timely manner. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliantclinical documentation in the electronic health record. Collaborate withthe multidisciplinary treatment team to support client care andtreatment goals. Qualifications: Required: Graduation from aBoard-approved nursing education program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN from anaccredited school of nursing) is required. Must hold a current, validRegistered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Massachusetts Board ofRegistration in Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification(American Heart Association or equivalent) is typically required forclinical roles. Previous outpatient or ambulatory care nursingexperience, or clinical experience relevant to mental health settingspreferred Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but notrequired.
