Land Development Project Manager

Role OverviewA well-established, nationally recognized engineering consulting firm is growing its Site/Civil team in Dallas, driven by a strong pipeline of large-scale data center projects along with a varied portfolio spanning commercial, residential, institutional, and mixed-use developments.Known for delivering complex, high-visibility projects across the U.S., the firm continues to see sustained, profitable growth. This position is ideal for an experienced land development engineer seeking to broaden their technical skillset while moving into a more leadership-focused role.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the planning, design, and permitting of site/civil land development projects for both public and private sector clientsAct as the technical lead from initial concept through construction, managing site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater systems, and erosion and sediment controlCollaborate with geotechnical, environmental, and utility teams to ensure integrated project deliveryDevelop and review engineering documents including design plans, technical reports, specifications, schedules, and cost estimatesPartner with office leadership on project delivery, resource planning, and growth initiativesGuide and mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering a high-performing, team-oriented environmentSupport client interactions, proposal preparation, and technical documentation efforts as neededParticipate in client meetings and conduct occasional site visitsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer (PE)Minimum of 6 years' progressive experience in site/civil engineering, with a focus on land developmentDemonstrated experience leading site/civil design projects across various asset types and scalesStrong technical knowledge in grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion controlProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3DExperience navigating permitting processes at local, state, and federal levelsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with technical documentation and proposalsHigh attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamValid driver's license for travel to client sites and meetingsBenefitsFlexible hybrid work arrangementOpportunity to contribute to large-scale, nationally significant data center developments for major tech clientsExposure to a diverse project portfolio beyond traditional land developmentStable, financially strong organization with consistent growthDefined paths for career advancementSupportive, people-focused culture that prioritizes flexibility, wellbeing, and professional growth Desired Skills and ExperienceLand Development, Civil Engineering, Site Development, Data Centres, Industrial Development, Residential Development, Commercial Development, Engineering, AutoCAD, Single-Family Development
