Technical or engineering background preferred.Job Description:Sterling Engineering is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our client's team and support program management activities in a structured, collaborative environment. This position is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in developing a career in program management. The Project Engineer will work closely with Program Managers, supporting multiple projects and coordinating with various departments and customers. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, comfortable managing competing priorities, and able to communicate effectively across an organization.Duties and Responsibilities:Support Program Managers with day-to-day program and project activitiesCoordinate tasks, timelines, and deliverables across multiple departmentsAssist with managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneouslyCommunicate with internal teams, customers, and other stakeholdersHelp identify issues and develop practical solutionsAssist with conflict resolution and cross-functional communicationTrack project progress and follow up on outstanding action itemsMaintain organized project documentation and recordsUtilize Microsoft Excel, Project, Teams, and SAP for basic project and program activitiesWork with different departments to ensure program objectives and deadlines are metSupport Program Managers with project coordination and administrative responsibilitiesQualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree required; Mechanical Engineering or another technical/engineering degree is preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsAbility to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholdersAbility to work collaboratively across multiple departmentsComfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain a structured approachBasic knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Project, Teams, and/or SAP is a plusTechnical or engineering experience is preferred but not requiredQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
