Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Layer 1 Project Estimator to develop accurate and competitive estimates for structured cabling and data center infrastructure projects. This role supports bidding, cost planning, and project execution while ensuring profitability and scope accuracy. Key ResponsibilitiesReview RFPs, drawings, and specifications to define full project scopePerform material takeoffs and calculate labor requirementsDevelop detailed cost estimates (materials, labor, equipment, subs, travel)Prepare pricing proposals and support bid reviewsIdentify risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunitiesCollaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teamsSupport project handoff, change orders, and cost trackingQualifications3–7+ years estimating structured cabling or telecom infrastructureExperience with commercial and/or data center projectsStrong knowledge of TIA/EIA, BICSI, and NEC (low voltage) standardsAbility to read construction drawings and blueprintsProficiency in Excel and estimating tools (Bluebeam, HeavyBid, etc.)Strong analytical and communication skills
