As a Registered Nurse at Timpanogos Regional Hospital, you'll have all the staffing support, technology and resources you need to deliver safe, high-quality care-so you can focus on what you do best.Job Summary and QualificationsAs a highly-skilled and compassionate Medical Observation Nurse you will provide acute care expertise along with excellent patient care on our Medical Observation unit.You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. You will be part of a team that pulls together to provide a quality patient care experience.In this role:You will provides direct and indirect patient care in MOB Recovery Department setting.You will communicate with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.You are able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.You will have the ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes: adolescent to geriatric and the general patient population.You will revise plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluates overall plan daily for effectivenessYou will consult other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needsYou will demonstrate an ability to assist physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.You will identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family; communicates with social service/discharge planner regarding both in hospital and post discharge needsQualifications:Current State of Utah or Compact Registered Nurse License.American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 7 days of hire.American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification.
