Gastroenterologist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Gastroenterologist to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be board-certified (or board-eligible) in Gastroenterology and have expertise in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. The Gastroenterologist will provide full-time outpatient care, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies, and work collaboratively with other medical professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders.
Perform procedures such as colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGD), sigmoidoscopies, polypectomies, and capsule endoscopy.
Interpret diagnostic tests, including lab results, imaging studies, and endoscopic findings.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients.
Provide consultation services to other physicians and healthcare providers.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients and families on digestive health, preventative measures, and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements.
Participate in staff meetings, and continuing education. 3 days in clinic, 2 days in procedures.
Reasonable Shared Call with mid-level support 7 days a week.
Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine.
Completion of a fellowship in Gastroenterology.
3 years of experience in gastroenterology
General GI: BC/BE in Gastroenterology, Unrestricted Florida State Medical License or Eligible for Licensure
Advanced GI: BC/BE in Gastroenterology with advanced training in EUS & ERCP, Unrestricted Florida State Medical License or Eligible for Licensure
Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida.
DEA license for prescribing medications.
