Software Developer (BEAVER)-JuniorAMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Developer (BEAVER)-Junior to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The salary range of this position is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.California, Maryland and Patuxent River, Maryland. To learn more about these areas, please visit: www.visitstmarysmd.comA typical day as a Software Developer (BEAVER)-Junior may include:Develops software for an advanced synthetic training environment used to assist in the debrief of pilots after a training eventRecords all audio/video feeds and simulation data for synchronized playback from eventsSupports software development, software integration, customer training and demonstrationsWorks within existing DevOps environment (automated builds, testing and deployment of software on multiple OS platforms)Programs, evaluates and reviews using C++Develops software requiring parallel processing, threading and inter-process communicationDevelops software to simulate complex environments or platforms in real-timeCollaborates with team members to design future enhancementsMust-haves:Degree in Computer Science or Engineering: Degrees in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace, Computer, Software Systems, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering may qualifyDegree obtained from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of EducationExperience coding with C/C++Experience with scripting and databasesExperience with Linux and Windows environmentsExperience with CMakeThe ability to obtain and maintain clearance in accordance with 5205.07AMEWAS willing to obtain and process full clearance-The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security ClearanceDesired Skills:Familiarity with scaled agile software development tools and environments (GIT and Jira)Skills Crucial to Success at AMEWAS:Candidates must demonstrate a customer-focused mindset, professionalism, and discretion, while working collaboratively with management and teams to meet objectives. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site.
