And we want you.The Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world. Bell's FLRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities. Depending on project needs, the primary work location may shift to our Flight Research Center in Arlington, TX.FLRAA Avionics Infrastructure Software LeadThe FLRAA Avionics Infrastructure Software Lead role will be leading the development and execution of the architecture and design of the hardware and software infrastructure to support software development.There will be a heavy focus on developing development containers, test infrastructure and test automation to support our DevOps environment.Tests will be executed against both embedded and associated application software.This role will include leading/mentoring/tasking junior team members to meet defined project goals.What you’ll be doing as an Avionics Infrastructure Software LeadLead the design, documentation, development containerized software infrastructure for build systems, test benches, and test platforms.Lead the design, documentation, development of functional and unit test software for systems in accordance with the Software Development Process and coding standards and guidelines.Participate in software design/code reviews to enable subsequent test automation development.Lead Integration efforts/Bug fixesDeliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are metHelp manage risks, raise impediments, and facilitate their resolutionIdentifies key cross-functional issues and project synergies; provides guidance with complex project issuesCoordinate team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniquesAccountable for cost and schedule performance on assigned activities.Maintain performance and Earned Value (EV) metrics and report to leadership.Escalate issues that need additional engineering or business leadership assistance in a timely manner.QualificationsSkills You Bring To this Role:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required. Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical or other Engineering degrees may be considered with applicable software experience.Minimum 5 years of engineering experience with at least 2 years’ experience in developing and architecting embedded software, including hardware and software integration is required.
