Lead Data EngineerAs a Lead Data Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Production Management team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.Job responsibilitiesMaintains and supports Db2 database applicationsExperienced with mainframe environment and use of TSO / ISPF / JCLDevelop rapport with application development teams for collaborationExpertise with troubleshooting / diagnosing mainframe db2 related issuesMaintains review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise dataImplements database back-up, recovery, and archiving strategyDDL Deployment, environment data refreshes, regular health checksMaintains highest levels of stability, integrity, reliability, and availabilityExperience with SQL and databases utilities including connectivityAdds to team culture of team work, collaboration, and partnershipRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on Data Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceWorking knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS) and SQL operationsWorking knowledge of JES2 and JCL, including RACF / ACF2 Security and CA7 / ZEKEExperience with performance analysis to optimize SQL workloadsKnowledge of SYSPlex mainframe configuration including Data SharingKnowledge of the data lifecycle and data management functionsWorking knowledge of mainframe data system componentsStrong understanding of data modeling fundamentals (e.g., primary and foreign keys, constraints, indexing, etc.)Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, with a passion to build an innovative cultureKnowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practicesPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsUnderstanding of general Mainframe Utilities, Database Utilities and Stored ProceduresFamiliar with mainframe environment and the use of TSO / ISPFUnderstanding of Distributed and Static SQL workloadsUnderstanding of plex mainframe configuration including Data Sharing & Stand-InFamiliar with IDAA (Data Analytics Accelerators)
