Administrative Assistant to Human Resources

HR Administrative Assistant The Administrative Assistant provides general office support with clerical activities and tasks. The Clerical Administrative Assistant provides general office and administrative support with a strong focus on Human Resources operations. This role supports HR functions including document management, onboarding coordination, applicant tracking, and payroll/timekeeping processes within ADP. The position requires a high level of organization, confidentiality, and attention to detail while assisting with day-to-day HR and clerical functions.Essential Accountabilities:Provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources departmentMaintain, scan, file, and update employee records and HR documentationAssist with onboarding processes, including preparation of new hire orientation filesSupport recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate flow, and maintaining applicant tracking logsConduct initial phone screens for potential candidatesManage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate HR-related eventsAssist with HRIS data entry, reporting, and system updatesMaintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive HR informationEdit and update HR documents, policies, and communications at the direction of the HR ManagerPerform additional administrative and HR-related duties as assignedOther tasks as assignedSupport payroll processes, including:Assisting with ADP timekeeping review and correctionsAuditing employee timecards for accuracy and completenessTracking attendance, PTO, and leave entriesCommunicating discrepancies to supervisors and HR leadershipServing as backup support for payroll processing as neededKey Characteristics & Abilities:Strong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to maintain professionalism in high-pressure or sensitive situationsHigh attention to detail with accurate data entryStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProblem-solving mindset with a sense of urgencyAbility to handle confidential information with discretionMust be able to manage multiple work items at one time with a high sense of urgencyAbility to provide support for employees' questions on the production plan floor.Ability to work a flexible schedule when plant events, meetings, and other planned events take place.Minimum Qualifications:Previous Human Resources/Payroll preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalentAssociate's degree preferred.3+ years of experience in an office setting- Preferred in a manufacturing plant.Ability to perform all essential job functionsValid driver's license and ability to run occasional business errandsPosition Requirements:Work Environment Conditions:X Inside (office)____ Inside (other)____ Outside (non-hazardous)
