Real estate, land use and construction litigation/transactional legal firm seeks candidate with experience in litigation. (Transactional work experience with the litigation is a bonus but not required). The ideal candidate has been a member of the Georgia Bar for a minimum of six years and would have six to eight years' experience with at least three managing their own matters in an active case load. This is an ideal position for a self-motivated, proactive licensed attorney looking for a small firm environment with a sophisticated practice typical of a much larger firm.You will work closely with principals that have more than 70 years combined experience in the real estate and construction arena. The Firm concentrates on both real estate litigation (including property disputes, zoning, permitting, land-use issues) and transactional work related to the construction, development, leasing and management of real estate projects.The successful candidate must have a minimum of six years' experience in litigation with a strong preference for real estate and/or construction work, must be admitted to the Georgia Bar and must have managed all aspects of their assigned cases. First-chair experience including case development, discovery, motions practice and trial preparation is preferred. He or she must have excellent writing, research, problem solving, and analytical skills. Experience, skill and any portable business will all be utilized to calculate actual salary as well as the opportunities for both merit and discretionary bonuses and the Firm provides additional compensation to all attorneys, at all levels, for self-generated new business as well as supporting marketing efforts.When applying, please provide all of the following: (1) a cover letter; (2) resume; (3) a persuasive brief substantively authored by you; and (3) and salary requirements (salary is based on minimum billables of 1600 hours a year).
