*Associate Electrical/Electronics Engineer – Analog & Power Electronics* *On-Site | Elyria, OH | Electronic Hardware & Product Development* *Job Summary* The Electrical Engineer – Analog & Power Electronics supports the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of Multilink electronic products used within broadband, telecommunications, and infrastructure applications. Working alongside senior engineering team members, this position provides the opportunity to develop hands-on expertise in analog circuits, power electronics, PCB design, prototype development, troubleshooting, and electronic product development. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electrical engineering, or technician work and enjoys working directly with electronic hardware—from initial circuit concepts through prototype testing and production support. *Responsibilities* * Assist with the design and development of *analog, digital, and power electronic circuits* for new and existing products. * Create and modify *electrical schematics, PCB designs/layouts, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation*. * Support the development of *AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies, battery/charging circuits, control circuitry, and related electronic hardware* under the guidance of senior engineers. * Research and select electronic components based on electrical requirements, availability, cost, lifecycle, and manufacturability. * Build, assemble, and support *engineering prototypes and first-article hardware*. * Perform *board bring-up, bench testing, troubleshooting, and component-level failure investigation* using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, analyzers, and other laboratory equipment. * Assist with circuit simulation, calculations, design reviews, and design verification. * Participate in PCB layout reviews with consideration for *power integrity, grounding, thermal performance, noise, EMI/EMC, and manufacturability*. * Support electrical, thermal, safety, reliability, and product qualification testing. * Work with firmware/software engineers on *microcontroller-based and embedded electronic products*. * Troubleshoot production hardware and assist Manufacturing and Quality with root-cause analysis and corrective actions. * Support component substitutions and redesigns related to obsolescence, cost reduction, availability, or product improvement. * Maintain BOMs, test procedures, engineering change documentation, design records, and product specifications. * Work collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, and other departments throughout the product lifecycle. * Develop knowledge of Multilink products, applications, customers, and relevant industry requirements. * Participate in field/customer troubleshooting or technical support as experience develops. * All other duties as assigned by management. *Education and Experience:* * Associate's Degree with progressive experience in manufacturing electronic components. * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or closely related field preferred. * Understanding of fundamental electronic concepts including analog circuits, digital circuits, power supplies, electronic components, and PCB-based hardware. * Some hands-on experience with schematics, PCB design, circuit simulation, electronics prototyping, or laboratory testing through professional employment, internships, co-ops, academic projects, or personal projects. * Ability to use common electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, bench power supplies, and function generators * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Interest in developing deeper expertise in analog and power electronics * Ability to work on-site in Elyria, Ohio. *Preferred* * 1–3 years of electrical/electronic hardware, product development, internship, co-op, or related project experience preferred. Recent graduates with strong hands-on electronics experience will also be considered. * Experience with Altium, OrCAD/Cadence, KiCad, or similar schematic/PCB tools. * Experience with LTspice, PSpice, or similar circuit simulation software. * Exposure to AC/DC, DC/DC, SMPS, buck, boost, flyback, battery charging, inverters, or power-conversion circuits. * Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, or C/C++ firmware. * Experience with PCB bring-up, component-level troubleshooting, EMI/EMC testing, or manufacturing support. * Familiarity with transformers, inductors, magnetics, MOSFETs, op-amps, ADC/DAC interfaces, feedback/control circuits, or thermal design.
