Senior Project Manager / PMOContract (W2) | Hybrid | Oakbrook Terrace, ILLocation: Oakbrook Terrace, ILWork Model: Hybrid preferred (2 days onsite); fully remote MAY be consideredPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support enterprise‑level initiatives within the Project Management Office (PMO). This role will be responsible for implementing and enforcing project governance, including the design and execution of policies, processes, procedures, and standards that ensure successful management and control of projects, programs, and portfolios.The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading large, complex, cross‑functional projects from initiation through delivery, particularly within enterprise environments involving Workday and Salesforce.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain PMO governance frameworks, including policies, standards, processes, and roles/responsibilitiesLead multiple large-scale enterprise projects simultaneouslyManage full project lifecycle activities (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, and closure)Serve as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and executive leadershipLead and facilitate cross-functional teams and meetingsTrack project milestones, risks, dependencies, and budgetsProvide clear, concise executive-level reporting on project status, risks, and outcomesEnsure projects align with organizational priorities and delivery timelinesApply industry-standard project management methodologies and toolsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience10+ years of Project Management experience, including leading large projects from start to finishProven experience managing large cross-functional teamsHands-on experience managing multiple major initiatives simultaneouslyExperience with enterprise-level projects involving WorkdayExperience with projects integrating SalesforceStrong understanding of project governance, methodologies, tools, and reportingExpertise in Project Management tools and process implementationsDemonstrated experience working directly with executive and senior leadershipStrong facilitation, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skillsExceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.Preferred QualificationsPMO or enterprise transformation backgroundPrior experience in large corporate or enterprise IT environmentsAbility to work onsite 2 days per week in Oakbrook Terrace (preferred)PMP, SAFe or Scrum certifications#techjobsThe base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role.
