Field Service Engineer - Hydraulics

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, and ongoing service of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems used in power generation and industrial applications. This is a highly hands-on, travel-based role where you'll work directly at customer sites to start up, troubleshoot, and optimize equipment. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, solving complex technical problems, and operating independently.Key ResponsibilitiesField Service & Commissioning:Perform on-site installation, startup, and commissioning of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systemsTest, tune, and optimize system performance in coordination with internal engineering and project teamsSupport system upgrades and retrofits across industrial and power generation environmentsTroubleshooting & Maintenance:Diagnose and resolve issues involving hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsProvide both on-site and remote troubleshooting supportPerform preventative maintenance and emergency service as neededCustomer & Project Coordination:Work closely with project managers and internal teams to meet project schedulesCommunicate directly with customers to provide updates, technical support, and recommendationsMaintain a high level of professionalism in customer-facing environmentsReporting & Documentation:Complete detailed service reports including scope of work, materials used, and observationsTrack labor, travel, and project-related activity using internal systemsAdditional Responsibilities:Provide basic system training to customers when requiredSupport in-house service or repair work when not travelingFollow all company and customer-specific safety requirementsQualifications:5-10+ years of experience in field service, hydraulics, or related technical fieldStrong working knowledge of hydraulic systems and componentsExperience with PLC setup and troubleshootingAbility to read and interpret electro-hydraulic schematicsSolid understanding of AC/DC electrical systemsRequirements:Valid driver's license with acceptable driving recordValid passport for international travelWillingness to travel extensively, including overnight and extended assignmentsAbility to work independently in field environmentsBenefits:Medical/Dental/Vision/Disability effective first of the month after the hire datePTO accrual begins upon hireReferral bonuses100% employee-owned plus 401k with company match
