If you're have Manufacturing Leadership experience with a focus on quality and a continuous improvement culture, we'd love to hear from you!Job Title: Production SupervisorPay Range: $28-$38/hour, non-exempt with overtime.2nd Shift Schedule: hours are typically 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. including occasional weekends.Core ResponsibilitiesThe Production Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of safety, quality and production of their shift. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for the direct supervision and training of hourly employees. This position requires the flexibility to work various shifts, 40+ hours per week and weekends as required. A Production Supervisor reports directly to the Production Manager.Additional Responsibilities:Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environmentCompletion of shift production and reporting paperworkImmediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Production ManagerMeet quality specifications for all products producedAssist with Preventive Maintenance program as requiredMeet wired plant compliance metricsPractice proper forklift operation and preventive maintenance scheduleAdhere to product sampling scheduleMeet or exceed facility housekeeping expectationsDaily allocation and management of available resources to accomplish the shift’s assigned production dutiesMaintain and build job skills through company training programsMeet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all production linesEnsure that all employees on the shift are properly trained in the areas of safety and quality as well as all job functionsCoordinate with Maintenance and/or troubleshoot process and mechanical problems, repairs and adjustments to maximize production and safetyExpedite product changeovers in an efficient mannerThis position should possess the following skills/knowledge:Mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilitiesLeadership skillsSupervision Skills/Training SkillsMotivational skillsBasic computer skillsManufacturing knowledge - extrusion experience a plusDecision making and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to communicate with various levels within the organizationEducational Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred Experience:1-2 years’ experience as a line operator or related experienceSupervisory training or related experienceEnglish and Spanish bi-lingual language skills are a plus!Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hoursAbility to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremesAbility to use hands, arms and legs to physically handle and transport finished goodsPosition requires full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles
