Position OverviewPay range: $20.80 - $33.80 / hourBenefits and perks available for eligible positions include: robust educational assistance programs, generous paid time off, employee assistance and wellness programs, paid parental leave, qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program, plus more.Job DescriptionUnder the general supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or the Medical Director, to perform comprehensive physiological monitoring and testing, diagnosis, management and prevention of sleep related disorders using various diagnostic and therapeutic tools. To assist in clinical assessments. To complete all testing preparation procedures including preparation and calibration of equipment required for testing, applying electrodes and sensors according to applicable standards, and fit positive airway pressure (PAP) mask. To perform diagnostic testing, data acquisition, routine observations, documentation of sleep stages and any other significant events and implements appropriate therapeutic interventions according to proper protocols. To review patient history, physical information, medications, procedure request and study protocol. To explain the procedure and orient the patient to the Sleep Center. To assist in scoring sleep/wake stages and other clinical events according to professionally accepted guidelines under the supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)QualificationsQualificationsOne (1) or more years experience as Non-Registered Polysomnographic Technician that has successfully completed trainee level job experience and meets all or exceeds required evaluation ratings for an entry level one (1) year evaluation OR a newly hired Non-Registered Technician with greater than one (1) year of experience working in a clinical Sleep Laboratory setting. Successful completion of a polysomnography program, of no less than one (1) year duration from a nationally accredited educational institution OR High School diploma or GED and successful completion of the A-STEP Online Self-Study Modules from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) or a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Sleep Technology training program, an Electroneurodiagnostic (END) program, or a Respiratory Therapy add on track for Sleep Technology required.
