OverviewPOSITION TITLE: Quality Control ManagerLocation: Fort Riley, KSFLSA: Non-ExemptHire Pay: DOEClassification: Full timeJob DescriptionThe Quality Control Manager is responsible for maintaining a quality system that is compliant to customer requirements while assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's supply chain.Job SummaryAbility to understand the quality system documentation.Knowledge of the use of gauges and measuring equipment for First Shot, Last Shot, and in-process dimensional verification.Use of controlled samples and visual criteria.Ability to enter dimensional results in the SPC database.Strong working knowledge of Team/Group problem-solving.Capacity to properly contain suspect material for review and disposition.Able to read and interpret blueprints.Skilled to lead in problem-solving efforts with manufacturing, engineering, and production personnel.Qualifications(a) Shall possess at least 2 years of recent (within the past 10 years) responsible experience in the inspection and oversight of facility-related work including maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.(b) Should have demonstrated skills and knowledge in the written documentation of work acceptance, rejection, and noted deficiencies. This includes work performed by the Facilities and Grounds Maintenance staff as well as subcontractors hired by the Contractor.(c) Shall possess a demonstrated knowledge of applicable codes and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, the International Building Code, National Electric Code, National Fire Protection Code, and various Federal, State, and Local code requirements.(d) Shall have proficiency in oral and written communication in English.(e) Shall have basic computer skills including the ability to input data into the system and generate various reports and correspondence as required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to handle sensitive information and function well in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.Basic computer skills, Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.SupervisionReceives supervision from the Department Manager. The position has formally assigned supervisory responsibility and authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.Working ConditionsThe principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor environment, with high equipment noise.Alcohol and Drug Testing PolicyThis position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP Staffing has a Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience:High school diploma/GEDMust pass a background checkMust pass a pre-employment drug test.Other:Valid Drivers' License Class C.J-18808-Ljbffr
