Server Infrastructure Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Server Infrastructure Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise server operations, automation, firmware management, and infrastructure optimization across a global environment.Rate Range: $60/Hour to $65/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Server Infrastructure Engineer Job Responsibilities IncludeProvide advanced L3 support, troubleshoot complex server hardware issues, and perform root cause analysis across global server environments.Manage and maintain enterprise server infrastructure, including HPE, Dell, and Lenovo platforms, along with out-of-band management tools such as iLO, iDRAC, and OneView.Develop and support automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, and REST APIs to streamline server configuration and firmware management.Lead server hardware testing, firmware lifecycle management, and infrastructure projects to improve reliability, security, and performance.Design, implement, and optimize servers, virtualization, storage, and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements.Monitor system health, capacity, and performance using tools such as Dynatrace and Netcool while maintaining technical documentation and supporting team knowledge-sharing initiatives.Required QualificationsAssociate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.10+ years of experience in server infrastructure, systems engineering, or related IT roles, including 5+ years in an enterprise environment.Expert knowledge of enterprise server hardware and out-of-band management tools such as HPE iLO, HPE OneView, Dell iDRAC, and OpenManage Enterprise.Strong automation experience using Python, PowerShell, or Ansible, with hands-on expertise in firmware management, REST APIs, and enterprise server infrastructure support.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
