The Irving Katzin World Language Scholarship: (Howell & Freehold Township High School Students)Two (2) Scholarships of $150 each for seniors pursuing advance study in world languagesIrving Katzin was a WWII Corporal who gave his life to fight for his Country. He was a meager man, with limited means, who pursued an optical degree after he returned home from the war. He had two children, one of whom is Dr. Meryl Norych. Irving Katzin was a dedicated Dad, husband and friend, who worked six days a week in New York City on 34th Street as an Optician. He was the best Dad a daughter could ever have. He gave up so much to help his children succeed. Because of his work ethic, both daughters have Doctoral degrees. My Father was all about if you “work hard, you will achieve success!
