Maintenance Technician- SWING SHIFT

DescriptionRichardson is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support our fast-paced manufacturing operations. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and keep production running efficiently.This position works on a wide variety of manufacturing equipment including industrial embroidery machines, automated cutting equipment, heat press systems, conveyors, compressors, pneumatic systems, and facility equipment. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.If you enjoy diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs, and working in a production environment where every day is different, we’d love to hear from you.Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-2:00am, overtime as needed. (Three day weekends!!)Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment and machineryPerform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systemsDiagnose equipment failures and complete timely repairs to minimize production downtimeRepair and replace bearings, belts, chains, gears, pulleys, bushings, and motorsPerform equipment setup, adjustments, alignments, and installationsTroubleshoot pneumatic systems including valves, airlines, cylinders, and compressorsSupport PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and perform basic programming adjustmentsRead and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, manuals, and technical documentsPerform welding, fabrication, and light electrical work as neededAssist with facility maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and concrete repairSafely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scissor lifts, and other powered equipmentFollow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and workplace safety standardsMaintain maintenance records, work orders, and preventive maintenance documentationRespond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production support needsPerform additional maintenance duties as assignedRequirementsExperience:Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or maintenance mechanic experienceExperience troubleshooting industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment preferredExperience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment repairTechnical SkillsMechanical troubleshooting and repairElectrical troubleshooting and low-voltage systemsPneumatic and compressed air systemsHydraulic systems experience preferredPLC troubleshooting and basic programming knowledge preferredWelding and metal fabrication experience preferredAbility to read electrical schematics and technical manualsKnowledge of industrial safety procedures and LOTO requirementsCertification PreferredMaintenance Technician CertificationHVAC CertificationForklift CertificationPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work at heights using ladders or liftsAbility to stand, bend, climb, and work in a manufacturing environmentWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
