Job Details Location: Cleveland, OH 44113 (Cleveland healthcare, Ohio travel nursing) Unit: Geriatric Psych (Geriatric Psychiatry / Behavioral Health) Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse Job) Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 29, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:30) Hours per Week: 36 Employment Type: W2 (Travel Nurse) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570-$1650 Job Requirements (Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health) Minimum of 18 months of recent behavioral health experience in an acute care NON-PSYCHIATRIC facility — strong psychiatric nursing or mental health nursing background preferred 18 months of permanent experience in a short-term acute care hospital (non-psychiatric) prior to travel assignment Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Permanent Ohio RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission (Ohio nursing jobs, RN licensure) Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross ONE recent reference (within 12 months) from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in behavioral health is required for submission COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation Negative 10 Panel Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start; however, nurses are currently exempt from the nicotine-free requirement until further notice. Responsibilities (Behavioral Health RN / Geriatric Psychiatry) Provide direct nursing care to geriatric psychiatric patients in an acute care setting, using best practices in psychiatric nursing and mental health nursing Conduct comprehensive assessments, medication management, safe medication administration, and timely documentation in the patient chart/EHR Implement milieu management strategies to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for older adults with behavioral health needs Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, social work, nursing leadership) to develop and implement individualized care plans Participate in orientation, complete required modules and competency assessments, and maintain professional standards for travel nurses Why Join This Cleveland Travel Nurse Role?
