Family Practice Physician Opportunity near Martinsville, VA Seeking a Core Faculty to teach, mentor and precept residents in our new state-of-the-art family medicine residency clinic. The position is outpatient only. Ideal candidates are residency trained and board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine with academic experience, however graduating family medicine residents are welcome to apply. Experience with sports medicine, geriatrics, obstetrics and pediatrics is a plus but not required. Residents provide comprehensive medical care for many of the underserved patients in the region and receive exceptional training in ambulatory medicine. The program fosters a collegial, supportive environment that is conducive to learning and professional growth. Time and resources are dedicated for teaching and administrative duties. The program provides patient-centric teaching that emphasizes practice-based learning, evidence-based medicine, and the importance of professionalism and effective interpersonal communication skills.
