Location: Harrisburg, PAPosition Type: hybridHybrid Schedule: 1 day in office per week minimum (must be flexible to be on site 5 days if management team requires)Contract Length: 6 month, contract-to-hirePosition Overview:We’re looking for a detail-oriented IT professional to join our Enterprise Logging and Monitoring Team, focused on the administration and optimization of Application Discovery and Dependency Mapping (ADDM) tooling. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining discovery processes across a complex, mixed infrastructure—ensuring accurate, full-stack visibility of devices, applications, and their interdependencies.Duties:Configure, administer, and maintain Application Discovery and Dependency Mapping (ADDM) tools, including platforms such as Device42Design and manage device and application discovery jobs across a mixed infrastructure environment (physical, virtual, and cloud)Ensure full-stack visibility by accurately mapping dependencies between infrastructure components and servicesMaintain high data integrity by identifying and eliminating duplicate records and resolving discovery discrepanciesOptimize and tune discovery scans to improve performance and coverageSupport IT Asset Lifecycle Management practices through accurate tracking and reporting of assetsUtilize and troubleshoot network protocols such as SSH, SNMP, and WMI for effective discovery and monitoringAnalyze and map complex dependencies to support incident response, impact analysis, and root cause investigationsConfigure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles within the ADDM toolsetPerform system upgrades, patching, and vulnerability remediation for ADDM platformsTroubleshoot system issues, perform error handling, and ensure overall tool stabilityMonitor and maintain ADDM licensing complianceDevelop, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting for ADDM tools and related infrastructureCreate and distribute reports, dashboards, and visual dependency maps aligned with business needsValidate and remediate data inconsistencies to ensure ongoing accuracy of discovery resultsDevelop and publish end-user documentation, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Integrate ADDM tools with external systems such as ITSM platforms, CMDBs, and reporting toolsDesign and implement custom discovery patterns where requiredApply monitoring and alerting best practices to enhance observability and system reliabilityInterpret vulnerability scan results (e.g., Tenable/Nessus) and support remediation planningCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise logging, monitoring, and operational initiativesRequired Skills:Ability to integrate with external tooling, e.g., ITSM tools, CMDB, and Report tooling.Create custom discovery patterns.Strong understanding of Monitoring and Alerting principles.Experience interpreting vulnerability output from Tenable (Nessus) and developing remediation plans.Create custom user documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Experience using or administrating any of the following tools: EasyVista, PRTG, Prometheus / Grafana, Pingdom, Instana, and Microsoft Sentinel.
