If you are a good fit for the job, you will also be friendly, reliable, highly skilled at multitasking, have excellent communication skills, and be genuine and passionate about helping others.The Lead Teacher is an exemplary Pure Barre Teacher who ensures that all instructional staff within the studio are abiding by brand standards.For more information, visit: purebarre.comLead Teacher Job QualificationsCertified Pure Barre Classic teacher (see Table A)At least 1 year of teaching Pure BarreDeep understanding and alignment with the Pure Barre methodsDemonstrated proficiency in Club Ready softwareUp to date CPR/AED trainingDemonstrated anatomical knowledge and focus on safety and alignmentPleasant, professional demeanor and excellent customer service skillsExperience teaching new and veteran clients in all class formatsProfessional and effective communication skillsProven public speaking skillsProficiency in helping with salesIn-depth understanding of the benefits of Pure Barre and what sets Pure Barre apart from other boutique fitness studiosWillingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry, specifically in relation to Pure BarreTeam player with evidence of strong leadership skillsPassion for learning and willingness to attend continuing education trainings and seminars offered by Pure Barre CorporatePunctual and reliableAbility to implement and streamline new procedures in a diverse environmentAbility to recognize areas of improvement and proactively communicate with managementConsistently uses excellent judgmentAbility to work harmoniously with the public, management and instructorsProfessional and neatTrustworthy and maintains client confidentialityStrong problem-solverLead Teacher Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMinimum Requirements: Attend monthly webinar facilitated by the Pure Barre Corporate Training Team (or watch recording)Study and complete monthly resources available via Lead Teacher Schoox folder (under Content)Implement actionable take-home with studio teamEffectively communicate messaging and updates from the Corporate Training Team to the studio teamTeach ~6-8 classes each week (formats varied based on length since studio opened; Table A)Regularly teach Breaking Down the Barre, Breaking Down Reform (if applicable), Pure Foundations, and corporate-released Intensive ClassesAdditional Recommendations: Assist trainees in successfully completing the test-out video process (note that we will provide very clear guidance on protocols and best practices)Review teachers quarterly on each class format, according to the corporate test-out video rubrics, and meet one-on-one to discuss feedbackLead quarterly team meetings with all teachers at the studioAssist management with studio schedule and ensure class types, times, levels and instructor scheduling are ideal to maximize occupancy and client satisfaction Manage sub requests and adjust schedule accordinglyEnsure that all images posted on social media sites reflect proper form and safety standards and are in alignment with Pure Barre standardsRegularly inspect equipment for damage or wear and make recommendations to management about updatesStay up to date with, and implement Pure Barre educational standards at all timesTrack and review the other instructors for proficiency and performance quarterly according to Pure Barre Corporate test-out video rubricsProvide needed mentorship to instructors to ensure their teaching is up to Pure Barre's standardsProvide Pure Barre instruction to private classes as requested by clientsMust be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including, but not limited to, hand weights, ankle/wrist weights, platforms, resistance tubing and matsVisually inspect the equipment prior to the beginning of class to ensure equipment is in good working order and safe to useParticipate in networking/community/client appreciation events as needed and studio promotions to generate new businessMaintain honesty and integrityAny other duties as assignedLead Teacher Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentPhysical Demands: Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, work with fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.Must be able to lift 20 lbs. and be able to move/push equipment as needed.
