Responsible for streamlining high-importance projects and conducting leadership level internal and external initiatives that have very significant impact on program objectives. Directs administrative, financial, and operational activities for the program. Organizes and prioritizes, critical issues and required information for the Program Director to facilitate efficient decision making.Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Oversee program operations from development through successful execution under the guidance of Program DirectorAssist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and performance measurementReview, design, and execute improvements to org structure, find knowledge and skills gaps and help address themImprove current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivityServe as liaison between staff, executives, and sub-contractors regarding climate, diversity and staff well-beingAssist the human resources department with new hires, including documentation and onboarding, and collaborate to address and resolve all employee concernsOversee daily operations through collaboration with senior management and department leaders, performing an array of administrative tasks from managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining hard copy and electronic files, planning, and coordinating annual corporate meetings, and scheduling facilitiesBuild and develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies, working with program teams and senior leaders on special projectsParticipates with the program team and senior leaders in strategic planning, policy development, and decision-makingDevelops and manage program communications strategies including talking points, emails, and presentations.Develops messaging on complex issues and creative strategies for communicating across different levels and organizations.Ensures timely and effective completion of all deliverablesCreates and maintains systems and processes to streamline operationsMaintains accurate confidential files and data recordsDevelop presentations and communications to the organizationConnect teams that are working on similar initiativesQualificationsREQUIRED:16 years of experience, may have management experience15 years of progressive experience within Program/Project management. Up to half of this requirement (up to 7.5 years) may include military service in command leadership roles, i.e. CO, XO, OIC, COS, OPS.Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationExperience serving in leadership roles on federal contracts over $400MProven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departmentsExcellent communicator in written and verbal formExtremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivityExperience planning and leading strategic initiativesAble to pass a background check to obtain a VA Public Trust clearanceUS CitizenshipPREFERRED:Experience working in the Federal Government, with an emphasis on Veteran's Administration (VA) experienceBachelor's degree in relevant field orMaster's in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent graduate degreeRelevant SAFe, or other Agile, certificationStrong customer relationship capabilitiesExperience managing programs under federal acquisition regulations and performance-based contractsAbility to foster collaborative work in dynamic team environmentManagement skills to select, develop, mentor, and motivate team membersAbility to interact with partners and clientsAbility to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization, with bothverbal and written communication skillsActive VA Public Trust or equivalent DoW security clearanceDetailsTarget Salary Range: $190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
