A Tele Charge Registered Nurse oversees nursing operations on our t elemetry unit, coordinating staff assignments, managing patient care, and ensuring continuous cardiac monitoring is safely conducted. They serve as both a clinical expert and team leader, handling emergencies, facilitating communication, and supporting both patients and staff.Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Staff Coordination: a ssign nursing staff to patients based on patient acuity, nurse experience, and current workload Unit Supervision : m onitor overall operations of the telemetry unit during the shift, ensuring workflow efficiency and patient safety Direct Patient Care: p rovide hands-on care for high-acuity or deteriorating patients when needed, including administering medications and treatments Telemetry Monitoring : i nterpret cardiac telemetry strips, identifies arrhythmias, and initiates appropriate interventions or escalations Problem-Solving: a ct as the go-to person for clinical issues, staff concerns, or resource shortages during the shift QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Current and valid Missouri Registered Nurse license. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current. Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.FACILITY / UNIT TRAINING Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care.
