Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician (Kitchens)

The Kwik Trip Kitchens is searching for a Quality Assurance Lab Technician to join our team. This individual will work closely with the Kitchens Quality Assurance Manager, management and supervisors to report and analyze products produced in the Kitchens.Regular Duties include but are not limited to:Daily sensory evaluation of productsSet up, monitor and document results of product shelf life studiesEnter lab samples into LabWare programsSet lab sampling schedules and coordinate delivery to labSampling – environmental, products, ingredientsCoordinate monthly schedules for ATP swabbingMaintain scale calibration recordsMaintain label verification files for production and receivingMonitor products on production linesWork with existing Quality Programs, assist in implementation of new programs and will be involved in all aspects of quality assurance and food safetyResponsible for communicating any quality or food safety issues to managementOther duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, OR Associates degree OR equivalent work experience and/or training in Food Science or related field.Experience and knowledge of lab testing procedures and food safety and QA programs, such as HACCP, FSMA and GMPs.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office ProductsAbility to work well alone and as part of a team.Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Problem solving skills.Accurate and detail oriented.Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks.Ability to read, understand, and interpret numbers and follow company policies.Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks and meet department deadlines.Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Candidates who demonstrate the ability to learn the required skills to fill expectations are also encouraged to apply.Work Schedule: Monday through Friday working 4:00am to 12:00pm.
