Job Title: Hardware Engineering Program Manager – Android XR / Consumer ElectronicsLocation: Mountain View, CA (Onsite)Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering Program Manager to support the development of next-generation Android XR glasses hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer electronics hardware, hardware engineering program management, product development, supplier coordination, and NPI execution.This role requires someone who can lead cross-functional teams, manage hardware development schedules, drive supplier execution, resolve technical challenges, and support successful product launches.Responsibilities:Manage end-to-end development of Android XR glasses hardware platforms and drive execution strategy.Lead cross-functional teams across hardware engineering, software, operations, and manufacturing.Drive hardware product development from concept through validation and launch.Manage project schedules, milestones, risks, budgets, and resource planning.Coordinate with hardware suppliers and development partners to ensure successful builds.Support NPI (New Product Introduction) builds and phase-gate reviews.Identify and resolve technical issues impacting product quality, cost, and schedule.Communicate program status, risks, and updates to leadership and stakeholders.Partner with engineering and operations teams to manage prototype builds and production readiness.Drive process improvements to improve product development efficiency.Support supplier development and long-term partner relationships.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.5+ years of experience in hardware engineering, hardware program management, technical program management, or product design engineering.Experience with consumer electronics hardware development.Experience managing hardware NPI builds and product launches.Strong understanding of hardware product lifecycle and phase-gate development processes.Experience managing schedules, suppliers, risks, and cross-functional engineering teams.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with mobile devices, Android hardware, XR/AR/VR devices, wearables, or connected consumer electronics.Experience with hardware components, electrical systems, circuits, and device integration.Experience managing global suppliers and manufacturing partners.Experience shipping high-volume consumer products.Strong presentation, reporting, and leadership skills.Ability to travel internationally up to 20% as needed.
