Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range $200,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yrSenior Controller at CREDE The Senior Controller is the senior financial leader responsible for the organization’s financial health, long-range financial strategy, and operational integrity. The Senior Controller oversees planning, reporting, risk management, and compliance while mentoring a team of 2-3 direct reports. This leader drives clarity, accountability, and strong financial discipline across the business.Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy and PlanningBuild and manage the company’s financial strategy in alignment with business goals.Lead long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Advise on mergers, acquisitions, capital investments, and funding strategies.Provide leadership with financial insights and recommendations to meet company targets.Financial OperationsManage cash flow, treasury, liquidity, and cash forecasting.Oversee accounting functions, including AP/AR, billing, payroll, GL, and financial reporting.Lead month-end and year-end closes and deliver financial statements and management reports.Coordinate external audits and tax filings; implement improvements from audit findings.Maintain all state registrations, licenses, and compliance filings.Manage banking and credit relationships to ensure adequate liquidity.Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, SEC standards, and regulatory requirements.Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.Oversee insurance coverage with the CEO.Leadership and CollaborationMentor and develop finance staff and oversee workload and accuracy.Partner with executives to align financial and operational goals.Present results, dashboards, and strategic recommendations to the CEO, COO, board, and investors.Performance AnalysisAnalyze operations for cost savings and process improvements.Track KPIs to monitor performance and progress.Technology and SystemsOversee financial systems for scalability and reliability.Use analytics tools to enhance decision-making.Corporate GovernanceUphold ethical financial practices.Support ESG reporting when applicable.Perform additional duties as assigned.Education and CertificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics required.Master’s degree preferred.CPA, CFA, CMA, or similar credential preferred.Experience and Technical QualificationsMinimum 10 years of senior-level financial management experience, ideally in construction or project management consulting.At least 5 years in a senior leadership role preferred.Background in Controller, Finance Director, or similar finance leadership roles.Proven strategic planning, financial modeling, and operational finance experience.Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.Deep understanding of regulatory compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.Experience with M&A, capital planning, and financial due diligence.Strong ERP and financial systems skills; Sage Intacct preferred.Advanced Excel capability including pivot tables and financial modeling.Success FactorsStrong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.High integrity, discretion, and professionalism.Ability to manage shifting priorities and deliver under pressure.Proven ability to build high-performing teams.Strong strategic thinking paired with hands‑on execution.Seniority level DirectorEmployment type Full-timeJob function Accounting/AuditingIndustries Construction and Building Construction#J-18808-Ljbffr
