As an SRE/DevOps Intern, you will work at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure, helping build automation, improve system observability, and support production reliability.You’ll collaborate closely with engineering teams from early design stages through production, gaining hands-on experience in maintaining and scaling high-availability systems.⚙️ What You’ll DoWork on a 10-week impactful project combining automation and operational excellenceBuild automation tools, scripts, and services to improve system reliability and efficiencyDevelop solutions to monitor system health, availability, and securityAssist in application deployments, testing, and release processesContribute to improving observability, alerting, and incident response systemsCollaborate with engineers to troubleshoot production issues and optimize performanceLearn and apply best practices in SRE, DevOps, and cloud infrastructureYou’ll be supported by a dedicated mentor and peer buddy to ensure a meaningful and enriching internship experience.💡What You’ll BringCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related fieldStrong programming/scripting skills in one or more of: Python, Perl, Ruby, or JavaScriptFamiliarity with Linux/Unix environmentsExposure to version control systems like Git or SVNStrong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new technologiesGood written and verbal communication skillsA curious mindset with a strong desire to solve complex problems at scaleInterest in systems, infrastructure, and reliability engineeringAbility to take initiative and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentPreferred QualificationsUnderstanding of HTTP, SSL, and REST APIsExposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or AzureFamiliarity with systems like Tomcat, Redis, MongoDB, or ElasticsearchExperience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)Hands-on experience through hackathons, personal projects, open-source contributions, or internshipsStandard Requirements For All InternsDemonstrated interest in Poshmark’s mission, community, or industryCurrent or rising senior enrolled in an accredited university, or recent college graduateSeniors should expect to graduate between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027Strong communication, collaboration, and curiosityAvailable to work a M-F 5-day work schedule between 8am-5pmWilling to commute 5x per week to PMHQ in Redwood City, CANo employment sponsorship required now or in the future
