Job Description: Director of Finance Overview: A strategic, hands‑on leader overseeing financial operations, reporting, and post‑acquisition integration within a growing, private‑equity‑backed professional services organization. This role blends operational rigor with strategic partnership, ensuring scalable processes, accurate financial insights, and alignment with value‑creation priorities. The Director of Finance works closely with executive leadership to drive performance, support decision‑making, and enable the organization’s growth through disciplined financial management and effective integration of acquired businesses.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planningBuild dashboards and KPIs for revenue, utilization, margin, and cashSupport pricing, scenario modeling, and strategic decision‑makingPrepare monthly board packages and investor reportingAccounting & ControlsOversee month‑end close (target: 5‑day close)Ensure accurate revenue recognition for servicesManage GL, AP/AR, payroll, and project accountingMaintain internal controls and audit readinessM&A Finance Lead financial due diligence and modelingSupport quality of earnings processesPartner with PE deal team on valuation and synergy analysisOwn Day‑1 readiness and 100‑day integration plansAlign chart of accounts, systems, and reporting across acquisitionsTreasury & Cash ManagementLead cash forecasting and working capital optimizationManage banking relationships and debt covenant reportingSupport capital structure planningOperational & Project FinancePartner with operations to analyze utilization, margin, and backlogSupport labor planning and capacity modelingDrive client and project profitability analysisSystems & DataOwn ERP (Deltek required), reporting tools, and data governanceLead system integrations for acquisitionsAutomate reporting and streamline workflowsQualifications8–12+ years of progressive finance experienceExperience in professional services, consulting within A/E/C industry an advantageStrong background with Deltek (Vantagepoint)Prior experience in a PE‑backed environment strongly preferredDemonstrated success supporting M&A due diligence and integrationExceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to operate strategically while remaining hands‑on
