Staff Electrical EngineerLocation: Quad Cities Area - Relocation assistance availableIndustry: Advanced Manufacturing / MetalsAbout the OpportunityFive Star Recruiting is partnering with a global leader in advanced manufacturing to identify a Staff Electrical Engineer for their flagship production facility in the Quad Cities.This is a highly visible, senior-level role supporting a critical business unit within a large-scale, modernized manufacturing operation. You’ll play a key role in driving process efficiency, leading capital projects, and supporting the continued evolution of advanced manufacturing systems.What You’ll DoLead and coordinate electrical engineering projects from concept through commissioning and completionDevelop scopes, specifications, and manage contractors and project executionPartner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to solve complex operational challengesDesign and implement control system upgrades and process improvementsSupport and troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems, drives, motors, and industrial equipmentLeverage data tools (e.g., PI systems) to analyze and improve process performanceDrive automation and smart manufacturing initiatives across the operationServe as a technical leader and mentor to engineers and team membersProvide off-hours support as needed for critical projects and operationsWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering7+ years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environmentStrong experience with electromechanical systems, controls, and industrial equipmentHands-on experience with PLC/HMI systems (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.)Proven ability to lead projects, manage contractors, and drive executionStrong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work across teamsExcellent communication skills across technical and operational groupsMust be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)What Sets This Role ApartSenior-level role with high visibility and influence across operationsOpportunity to support one of the most advanced and strategically important manufacturing sites in the industryDirect impact on production, efficiency, and long-term capital improvementsCollaborative environment with strong leadership and investment in modernization
