We're not just a network of locations--we're a team united by purpose, a community committed to ensuring every farewell reflects the individuality of the life it celebrates.What You Will DoThe Funeral Director/Embalmer manages all phases of the funeral arrangement, from setting up funeral services to final disposition. Overview & Responsibilities: Ensures every client family is presented with all service and merchandise options -- Every Family, Every Option, Every TimeContributes to the overall efficiency of the location by maintaining open and effective communication and maintaining accurate and timely client filesActs to improve market share through participation in community events, groups, organizations, and other community relationships as assigned by your supervisorCarries out other projects/duties as assigned (i.e., car washing, building/equipment repair, pre-need arrangement planning)Oversees all Team Members participating in services, ensuring that each member of the team understands their role and is professionally representing the locationCommunicates to appropriate Team Members areas of successful performance and performance needing improvement to meet business expectationsWorks on-call/first call, in rotation as assigned (i.e., phone, face to face, at the hospital, hospice, residence)Transfers decedents, embalms, dresses, cosmetizes, caskets, and prepares deceased on as-needed basis (per appropriate licensing) to the instructions obtained from the familyMeets with client families to listen, educate, and arrange personalized funeral services and ensures their experience with the business is of the highest qualityCompletes tasks and details resulting from the arrangement conferenceEnsures proper paperwork, including permits and certificates, are completed timely and following relevant laws and regulationsConducts and attends funeral services regularlyLeads all post-service follow-ups as needed Requirements & Qualifications: Current state licensure for funeral directing & embalmingSelf-motivated and energeticStrong oral and written communication skillsCaring, empathetic, and committed to providing best-in-class service to customersSensitivity and knowledge of different philosophical systems and religions Knowledge of basic principles, values, ethics, ways of thinking, customs, practices, and their impact on human culture Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Valid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving recordWhat We OfferMeaningful Work: Make a real difference by helping families navigate one of life's most challenging times with compassion and care.Competitive Pay and Benefits:Medical, dental, prescription, and vision insuranceVacation, sick, and holiday payWellness Rewards401k with company matchCompany-paid life insurance, long-term disability, and short-term disabilityCareer Growth: Take advantage of ongoing training and advancement opportunities within the funeral service industry.Supportive Culture: Be part of a compassionate, mission-driven team that values respect, empathy, and service.Are you ready?
