Learning & Development Manager

About the Opportunity:The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for leading the design, coordination, and delivery of learning programs that support employee development and operational excellence. This role drives the organization''s learning strategy, ensuring training aligns with business goals and fosters a culture of continuous professional growth.3. Responsibilities:• Develop and implement a company-wide learning and development strategy• Assess training needs and design solutions to enhance employee performance• Collaborate with HR and operational leaders on onboarding, leadership, compliance, and professional development programs• Create career learning pathways to support employee advancement• Measure and improve training effectiveness using feedback and data• Design instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning experiences• Develop training materials including presentations, videos, e-learning modules, and job aids• Manage and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS)• Monitor learner progress and program outcomes through analytics• Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions• Coach managers on effective training delivery• Build partnerships with operational leaders to meet evolving training needs• Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing• Establish relationships with educational institutions, associations, and vendors• Coordinate continuing education and certification opportunities• Research and recommend innovative learning technologies4. Requirements:• 3-5+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, corporate training, or organizational development• Preferably experience in the funeral service industry in relevant roles• Experience with administering or implementing a Learning Management System (LMS)• Strong presentation and facilitation skills for both in-person and virtual formats• Skilled in creating engaging learning content using instructional design or e-learning tools• Excellent organizational, project management, and relationship-building abilities• Willingness to travel up to 33% within the Northeast5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.6.
